Hilary Gladwell, formerly the Director of Business

Willmott & Clarke, joined Implementor in early
2004.
Hilary has over 26 years' experience in senior marketing and business development roles, both within the professional services sector and in major corporate organisations.
Hilary began her career in professional services at KPMG Bristol, where she headed up the marketing function, including working with the Managing Partner on developing and implementing the strategic marketing plan; project managing competitive tenders and analysing debrief data; developing new sales team initiatives and managing client service reviews.
She joined regional law firm, Clarke Willmott & Clarke in 1997 as Director of Business Development, a Board level role that encompassed all the marketing and business development areas. Hilary was responsible for the firm's entire re-branding in 2003, to become Clarke Willmott.
She was also instrumental in championing the firm's first ever in-depth client service review research, as part of a total customer care programme. This research became the focal point in determining the firm's future business development focus and in creating key action plans to maximise the potential of each client relationship. In addition, she implemented a number of business development initiatives, including the training of all partners and fee-earners.
Prior to working in professional services, Hilary spent 14 years in senior marketing and sales roles in the hotel and travel industry. She was UK Director of Sales for the Business Travel division of THF, which involved managing a sales team to achieve target sales of £40m annually. Prior to that, she was with Thomas Cook Travel, where her various roles included being Head of Marketing for the Business Travel Division, which had an annual turnover of £280m+.
Hilary has played an active role in the Professional Services Marketing Group (PSMG) and the PM Forum and is currently joint Regional Director (with Nicola Webb) of PM Forum in the South West. She is regularly asked to speak at professional services networking events about best practice in professional services marketing.
Since 2004, Hilary has worked on a number of projects, including implementing a client relationship management programme for Burges Salmon solicitors. She is an Associate of Nisus Consulting and plays an integral part in their FTSE 100 research. Currently, she is acting on an ongoing basis as Head of Marketing for Withy King solicitors.
