"Required reading
for anyone considering selling legal services online"
Legal Technology Insider
|
| "The key question is not whether to deploy
Internet technology - companies have no choice if they
want to stay competitive - but how to deploy it".

| 'Internet Marketing' -
edited and co-written by Nicola
Webb - gives you the complete low-down on each aspect
of web marketing, from devising the strategy, researching
your approach, designing and building your site, to
on- and off-line marketing and the on-going maintenance
of web communities (including the use of intranets and
extranets). The book is written in a practical style,
with comprehensive yet comprehensible chapters, case
examples and screen shots.
Written by experts in the field of legal marketing
and technology, 'Internet Marketing' will help your
firm keep ahead of the competition. Nicola Webb is the
former Head of E-business at Osborne Clarke, where -
for 5 years - she was responsible for developing and
implementing the firm's UK and European online strategies,
encompassing the internet, e-commerce, the intranet
and client extranets. Nicola has been involved in online
marketing since 1998, and in traditional marketing since
1982. She now runs her own consultancy, Implementor,
advising a range of clients.

Book reviews "All you wanted
to know about internet marketing but were afraid to
ask"
Legal Technology Insider Newswire: issue 125 - 09.04.2003
The English Law Society this month publishes 'Internet
Marketing: Strategies for Law Firms' (288 pages, paperback,
ISBN 1-85328-870-5, price £34.95) edited by Nicola
Webb. The book aims to cut through the usual internet
hype to consider the ways that new business models are
affecting the legal market but with the emphasis upon
practical advice and guidance on how to set about creating
an effective legal web presence.
Co-authors include e-security expert Rupert Kendrick,
Christopher Davis, Gina Lovell of Addleshaw Booth &
Co and Insider editor Charles Christian, who wrote the
chapters on web strategies and client relationship management
(CRM). The book is packed with bullet points and do's
and don't lists and although written for the UK market,
contains valuable information that should help any law
firm just about anywhere. Quite frankly, this book should
be required reading for any lawyer considering selling
legal services online. |
"An excellent book for firms considering websites
…whether they are new to the field or experienced"
Internet Newsletter for Lawyers, May/June 2003, by Delia Venables |
| 'Internet Marketing', edited
by Nicola Webb and published by the Law Society, £34.95,
is an excellent book for firms considering websites,
intranets and extranets, whether they are new to the
field, or experienced - different readers will concentrate
on different sections of the book and skip the parts
they already know, or have no need to know. As well
as discussing website development in the context of
a firm’s strategy and marketing plan, the book
covers market research, intranets, extranets, client
relationship management, electronic commerce, getting
into the search engines and managing risks.
