Background
Merrett & Co are a niche law firm, established since 1995, with one of the largest teams of planning and local government solicitors in the South West. The firm wanted to produce its first ever corporate brochure and website to target existing and potential clients in the local government, commercial and private client sectors.
Brochure
Nicola reviewed the firm's competitors and helped the founder more closely identify its target markets, together with its positioning statements.
She created a design brief, appointed designers and worked with them to produce the final brochure, including sourcing appropriate images, obtaining client quotes and writing all the copy. The text sought to highlight the resons for using a niche specialist in this area of law, rather than one of the larger, regional firms.
Nicola helped Merrett & Co organise a direct mail shot to existing and target contacts. The brochure received good feedback and a number of work enquiries as a result .
Website
Merrett & Co wanted a simple website to act as an initial point of information for clients and non-clients. Nicola created the site, working with an external developer, including writing all the copy for the site. She has subsequently implemented a search engine optimisation strategy, including Google adwords for key search terms.
